We are committed to making sure Spithurst Hub is as accessible as possible to everyone and our facilities were designed with accessibility in mind. We have two accessible car parking spaces, just follow the blackboard sign once you enter our area. While the ground is somewhat uneven in places, there is a concrete path that leads to both the garden and the front door.
We have one fully accessible toilet with a ramp leading up to the front door. However, please note that there is still a small step (approximately 5 cm) to enter the building. We have had several wheelchair users making use of our co-working place, our meeting space and our accessible toilet. The office space is all on one floor and there are no thresholds within the building.
We have two height adjustable desks and our office chairs are all adjustable.
All our cafe tables are outdoors, some are under a stretch tent and some undercover on our balconies. A few of our tables are surrounded by gravel, but we have had guests with accessibility needs being able to access them. One of our balconies is closer to the accessible car parking spaces with a concrete path leading directly to it. There are no gates and no steps to access the main garden, but there are a few small steps leading up to our wild garden and our seating pod up there.
